The Youth Exchange Digital Storytelling for Real Rights took place in Torino, Italy, from the 7th to the 16th March
2014 for 8 days of activities plus 2 travel days. The aim of the exchange was to create awareness among the young participants of their identity, their cultural background and their rights as EU Citizens; to foster a sense of mutual understanding and tolerance; to stimulate active citizenship and participation to the decision making processes in their communities.
Facilitated discussions on values, identity, cultural background, respect of others, rights of EU citizens and active
citizenship were coupled with practical work on media making and digital storytelling. All activities were conducted with non-formal and informal learning methodologies.
Associazione Videocommunity and Associazione YEPP Italia organized the exchange in collaboration with ITER - Laboratorio Millelire. The participants, aged 16 to 21, were hosted in the newly refurbished youth hostel Torino.
